Portia Rose Eastman

Portia is a current MPH candidate at the Mailman School of Public Health in the department of Epidemiology with a certificate in Global Health. She received her B.S. in Global and Environmental Health Studies with a minor in Hunger Studies from the University of Rhode Island in 2017. She is interested in the impact that vector-borne diseases and climate change are having on the health of vulnerable populations in the global south, using epidemiological methods of identification and prevention to track and reduce disease, and using that data to create culturally appropriate solutions that are long-term and sustainable.
